No sales.
No theater.
Just real talk about outcomes in prod.
We cut through the noise and curate the best content to provide you with knowledge, strategies, tactics, and lessons learned from believable people. Not the thespians, not the sales people. But the people who have successfully done a thing, repeatedly.

A symposium for govtech innovators and change agents with the audacity to continuously ship outcomes to prod.

So, you want a cATO?
If you want a cATO, get connected with the people who pioneered it all and discover how to get yours set up.
We are joined by the originator of cATO, an authorizing official (AO, a chief information security officer (CISO), and others who have been there and have the t-shirt (and scars) to prove it.
Transforming the DoD into a software company
We’re tempted to ask if you know what Blockbuster, Polaroid, Pam Am, Toys R Us, Compaq, and Kodak have in common but it’s pretty obvious. They’re has-beens who refused to innovate.
As the life expectancies of companies continue to shrink, organizations must be more vigilant than ever in remaining innovative and future-proofing their businesses. The market demands on-demand, technology-forward, software-focused solutions to the challenges of everyday life.
Banking, healthcare companies, insurance, and retail brands have done it. Rocket Mortgage, ASOS, and Teledoc are household brands that operate as software companies that also sell mortgages, clothing, and doctor visits.
In this web event, we ask and attempt to answer the question: What will it take to help the government do it too?
Attracting Silicon Valley Talent into Government IT
In order to move at the speed of technology, the Government needs to transition from waterfall development practices reticent of a bygone era. This requires young fresh talent and the Silicon Valley savvy they bring with them.
For many of today's software developers and technologists, working in government is viewed like "doing time" helping the government only to return to organizations offering the speed and culture today's talent are looking for.
At Rise8, we believe the answer to this is bringing together the Silicon Valley savvy and domain expertise under one roof.
To discuss this, we are bringing together colleagues from both sides to talk about the approaches required to transform this culture. Our panel of guests will discuss topics and issues surrounding people, process, technology and brand.

Shifting Power: from Defining Outputs to Discovering Outcomes

This is the most engaged my team has ever been on this topic. I am watching my “prior resistant” team members start to embrace this AND start to own it.
